Exclusive KUDU ‘Skull Repeat Pattern Series’ tea towel designed by Krysten Newby.
Animal anatomy has always has a big influence on my work, even when I was little, I find it so inspiring.
I started out my alternative skull pattern designs by simply drawing, painting and playing around with different animal skulls.
As I began to replicate them, I noticed a pattern forming, almost the shape of a flower.
I loved the way that each different animal skull made a completely different pattern, so I continued to experiment. I then added some geometric shapes seamlessly complimenting the organic shapes the skulls have made.
The overall design looks like a simple pattern to begin with, then upon closer inspection, skulls appear.
This tea towel is made from a 100% natural blend of cotton & linen and printed all over.
