Taxidermy Common Buzzard (Buteo buteo) on Falconry Glove with Hood
Here is an impressive contemporary taxidermy mount of a Common Buzzard wearing a leather hood on a falconry glove.
Unfortunately, this poor buzzard was not in perfect condition when it came in to my possession and suffered sever feather slip to it’s head.
Rather than giving up and throwing it away, I persevered and changed the direction of the project. By converting it in to a falconry style mount, the head is disguised by a leather hood.
Although it is not a perfect condition specimen, the end result is a unique addition to any collector.sza
