This taxidermy listing is for an elegant, leggy wader – the Black Necked-stilt (Himantopus mexicanus) mounted on to an antique, hand-painted base with signature.

Found on American shorelines, these unusual looking birds are known for their elongated, bright pink legs! Their European cousins, the Black-winged stilt occasionally turn up in the UK, too. One of my favourite birds, this specimen was a pleasure to work with!
