Fantasy Taxidermy Flying Stoat With Wings
Straight from a dream…this unique, domed taxidermy listing is a 3D representation of one of my original oil paintings, titled ‘Field of Dreams’, featuring a whimsical Stoat (Mustela erminea) with wings (made from juvenile blackbird for a believable blend).
Encased in a glass dome with flower meadow habitat, the four British butterflies accompanying this piece include Holly Blue (Celastrina argiolus), Green Veined White (Pieris napi), Peacock (Aglias io) and Small Tortoiseshell (Aglais urticae).
Delicate and dreamy!
This may be a little different to my usual work, but having time to do my own projects means I have been immersed in the world of whimsy recently – a world I feel very comfortable in!
